Astrid

Astrid was born with full name Astrid Sartiasari in Surabaya, on January 27, 1982.  She is an Indonesian singer.

Astrid started  her career as a singer in cafe.  She has named as Best Vocal in a High School Band Festival in Surabaya, and then Sony Music attracted with her unique voice.

Astrid known as a movie soundtrack singer. Her song are Ratu Cahaya in the movies are Tusuk Jelangkung (2003),  Di Dadaku Ada Kamu and Cinta for film Vina Bilang Cinta,

Her career rose brighter, Astrid offered to involve in a compilation album titled A Portrait of Yovie. In this album, she sung a Yovie Widianto's song titled Tak 100%

In the end of 2005, Astrid released a self-titled album, Astrid. A song of this album (titled Cinta Itu) then become theme-song for film Mirror with other song of her album such as Ku Mau Kamu Selamanya (duet with Andi /rif), Cahaya Cinta and Perpisahan.

In 2006, Astrid colaborated with Saint Loco in a song  Kedamaian from the album Vision For Transition. On February 2007, Astrid released repackage of her debut album, with hit-single, Jadikan Aku Yang Kedua. At the same year Astrid brought a song of Chrisye (an Indonesian singer legend) titled Merpati Putih for soundtrack of a remake movie Badai Pasti Berlalu. And in 2010 she also release a recycle single titled Tentang Rasa. Formerly this song was brought by a band named Olif. [source : Astrid]
